A world where human rights are fully realized, respected, and protected for every individual, enabling all people and nations to live with dignity, freedom, equality, and peace.
The International Human Rights Organization Sri Lanka (IHRO) is dedicated to advancing the principles and implementation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at local, regional, national, and international levels.
Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, IHRO empowers individuals, educators, civil society organizations, and governmental institutions to promote human rights awareness, prevent abuses, and foster sustainable cultures of respect, accountability, and peace worldwide.
At the International Human Rights Organization Sri Lanka (IHRO), we are firmly committed to upholding the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Our programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts are guided by all 30 Articles of the UDHR, ensuring the protection and promotion of every individual’s rights, dignity, and freedoms. From the right to life, equality, and personal security, to freedoms of expression, assembly, and belief, as well as economic, social, and cultural rights, IHRO integrates these standards into every aspect of our work. By aligning our mission with the UDHR, we strive to create a society where justice, equality, and human dignity are not only respected but actively realized for all.
